A Moment from the Book...
A month before I went to college, my father took me to his hometown in Greece. Before leaving, we took an ox cart to a small village in the mountains where we had lunch with a family: father, mother and sixteen- year-old daughter. I asked dad, “Are these folks our relatives? “No.” he said. When you were seven and Evdoxia, the girl sitting next to you, was six.” He pointed to the farmers, “We make a deal. I brought you here to introduce you to the wife I chose for you.”

Meet the Author:
BILL LAMPERES
My father taught me the art of storytelling. As a child, I listened to his tales of ancient Greek myths and heroes spun with the charm, drama, and the gestures of a trained actor. Intrigued customers rewarded him with smiles and generous tips. Years later, as a teacher, I mastered his techniques and motivated students, to embrace historical events, question conclusions, and enjoy learning.
Knowing that everyone has a story to tell, I became a good listener and better interviewer. These skills launched my second career as a writer. Since 2008, I have published and edited more than twenty books and novels.
Blessed with a creative imagination and passion for history, my novels invite readers to feel, see, taste, and experience characters, places, and events described in my books; stories crafted to engage readers in historical fiction, mystery, romance, adventure, travel, designed to intrigue and entertain.
